Ewe lambs
Registered, from the foundation ewes. Raised on pasture and handled from birth, so they are quiet in the pen and easy to work.

Registered Border Leicesters from a small foundation flock. The longwool with the Roman nose.
Border Leicesters are a long-wool English breed with an upright ear, a Roman nose and a lustrous fleece. Ours are picked for how they behave as much as how they look: a ewe that stands for a dog, mothers her lambs and stays sound on this ground earns her place.
The flock is registered, closed to outside ewes, and worked by dogs year round. Because every animal here is handled daily, stock from this farm settles quickly wherever it goes.

One or two a year, chosen for structure and a calm disposition. Not every ram lamb makes the cut; the ones that do are offered here first.

Occasionally a mature ewe that has lambed here and mothered well. The right one for someone starting a flock of their own.
Lambs are offered after weaning, usually from late summer. Registration papers transfer with the animal. If you want to be on the list for a particular cross, email early; the flock is small and most lambs are spoken for before they leave the field.
Visitors with dogs are welcome by appointment. Email is the fastest way to reach the farm.
